Benefit is not usually a brand I actively seek out when makeup shopping, however after I was really blown away by the well-known Rollerlash (featured in the makeup on the go blog post), I definitely wanted to re-purchase it. Fortunately House of Fraser had a great offer on, meaning I was able to get a travel sized tube as well as the full sized for the same price if you had just bought the regular version on its own.
I'm still quite a newbie when it comes to blushes, however I couldn't resist picking up Dandelion after testing it out in my local House of Fraser store. It is a soft pink shade (perfect for pale skin!), which although does come with a little brush, I much prefer to use my own Real Techniques blush brush to sweep a little colour on to build up a beautiful glow! The only let-down is that there is quite a lot of empty space in the box, I feel there ought to be more product, or less bulky packaging.
I was also lucky enough to get my hands on three samples of Benefit goodies, including dream screen, triple performing facial emulsion, and the POREfessional. The dream screen is an SPF 45 sunscreen for your face, with an invisible silky-matte finish. It is applied on moisturised skin before skin exposure. The triple performing facial emulsion is also a sunscreen lotion which hydrates your skin, and provides an SPF 15. Finally, the much loved POREfessional which is a primer which helps makeup stay in place, and minimizes the appearance of pores. Apply this balm alone, under, or over makeup.
I have yet to try the Benefit testers, but I can't wait to get stuck in with the primer in particular. I love that the products have their own 'look', and I'm sure this is just the beginning of a beautiful Benefit relationship.
