NYX Blush In Taupe Review

NYX Blush Taupe Contour Powder Review

I know what you're thinking. A blush that's brown? Well bear with me and let me explain! Although this product is marketed as a blush, in the blogosphere it's actually more common to be used as a contour. It took me a while before I caved and purchased it, but boy am I glad I did! Although I find the packaging to be a little cheap, especially the heart on the packaging (which although is cute, it makes it seem more childish) - but how good is the actual product I hear you asking?

NYX Blush Taupe Contour Powder Review

The contour powder is both soft and silky, with an appealing design in the compact. I find the best way to apply it is to slowly build it up to get the desired look. I occasionally use this powder to contour my nose, however these days I tend just to focus on the hollows of my cheeks. I have also been using the Real Techniques contour brush as pictured above to apply the product, however in recent days I have swapped to a smaller, fluffy brush (Real Techniques deluxe crease brush) after being suggested by the lovely April from HelloApril - and it works just as well, if not better!

I'm no contour pro, but armed with this powder and a brush, anyone can do it. I find that this product gives me the soft, gentle contour that I desire, which works well with against pale skin without looking muddy. If you're also a fair maiden, I definitely recommend you check this one out!
