This post had been requested by a few people in December, however with being so busy having people round and then celebrating New Year's, I think I'm probably one of the last people to get this post up! I wanted to show you a few gifts that I was kindly given. I think this is one of the few Christmas' that I didn't actually ask for anything (I did ask for one thing - but I'm pretty sure you don't want to see the pair of scales I got, despite how funky they look!).
I also think that this Christmas is the one where I've received the most chocolate, so those scales will definitely come in handy now! I secretly wished that I would get something from Lindt, especially the bear because the ribbon and love heart charm is so darn adorable, and fortunately I actually received one! It's also turned into kind of a tradition now at Christmas that I get two strawberry lip balms from The Body Shop. It's my favourite lip balm and I actually did a review of it when I first started blogging, so check that out here!
The dream catcher necklace was given to me by my aunty, from her recent visit to Canada. It isn't something I would normally buy myself, but it's actually rather beautiful and I can see myself getting a lot of wear out of it.
I received a couple pairs of thick woolly socks - surprisingly when you get older, you do actually want socks for Christmas! In addition to the 'keeping warm' theme I also received some pretty earmuffs with detailing on either side.
A couple of days before Christmas, I did the worst thing imaginable. I broke a mirror! It was a rickety old thing anyway that needed the screws tightening every day, but still. I don't believe in broken mirrors bringing bad luck (but that's not to say you shouldn't knock on wood for good luck!). So my very thoughtful partner, Josh, bought me a NO7 illuminated mirror. I've used it almost every day since and it's amazing! The little knob on the base means you can also control how much light you want it to project, and you can also flip the mirror around to a zoom side which is super handy!
Since at University we didn't have a bath, coming back home to one was just the best thing ever! This Lush gift set 'It's Magic' that Josh also gave me, has everything your bath could ever desire including both bath bombs and a bubble bar. This gift was probably the best set he could have chose from, because I had never tried any of these before!
I'm so thankful for all the gifts I received, and although I haven't featured them all, it means a lot that my family and friends took the time to pick out such lovely and personal gifts for me. Let me know in the comments what you got for Christmas, I hope you all had a lovely one!
