Personal Planner Review & Giveaway

Personal Planner Review

I start my second year at University next month, and it’s safe to say I’ve always been terrible at organising myself. Although I achieve a 2:1 for first year, admittedly I left everything until the last week, which was a bit silly of me. That being said, it’s nothing new for me to do that, it’s something I’ve always done however I want to break out of that habit! I needed something to help me keep organised with my studies, while making sure I still had some ‘me’ time. These planners fit the bill perfectly, courtesy of Personal Planner; they include everything I could possibly need!

Personal Planner Review

My head is often a jumble of various things I need to remember, and sometimes I just need break my thoughts down into manageable pieces – this is where the planners come into play. I have one for blogging to help me keep track of when I want to post or any meets that are coming up, and also another planner for my studies and work shifts. Keeping these two apart helps prevent me from getting stressed when I have a lot on my mind.

The features that really stand out to me in these planners are the fact they are completely customisable. For my blogging planner, I decided to go with a Pusheen design since I’m pretty obsessed with her and think she’s adorable! Whereas for my studies and work commitments, I went with a gorgeous pre-made graphic design on the front. It’s really simple and feminine for my taste! On the inside cover of both planners, I put a little message in case I ever happened to lose them, plus my contact details (they’re very special to me so I wouldn’t want them to go missing!). For each planner you are also given a clear plastic wallet to insert, so you can keep any bits and bobs you might wish to keep together.

Having enough space for me to write important information or details of a lecture/workshop for University is essential to me, and having a ‘To Do’ module at the bottom of each page is super handy for me to remember what I need to do each week. Since the planners are custom-made, I opted for a few pages of Sudoku at the end as it’s something I enjoy, plus sometimes I need something to get my brain going especially for the 9am lectures!

So that’s a little look into my personal planner for Uni and work, now let’s take a peek into my blogging one…

Personal Planner Review

This planner is perfect for quickly writing down what days I want to post a blog post or YouTube video, plus I can also write down any blogger events I need to attend, therefore I found having a column layout much more beneficial. There’s lots of extra lined paper at the end so I can expand on ideas, or jot down anything that springs to mind.

Not only does Personal Planner offer planners, notebooks and wall planners, they also offer accessories including covers to keep your purchases safe, additional rulers and also a range of colourful pens. Using the remainder of the voucher I had been given, I decided to make up the difference and buy two pens to use with each of my planners. After playing around with them for a bit, I knew they were going to be something I would use as they’re the perfect style for me. The pens have a fine nib so are perfect for writing in the planners, and I got them in pink and purple – my favourite colours.

There are so many options you can choose to make your custom planner, and I only used a fraction of them. You can decide to have your planner start on any month – I chose September since that’s when I start University and want to start blogging again regularly. As shown above, I had the ‘To Do’ module on each page, but you can choose to have ones for work, workout schedule, exam schedules and goals.

Personal calendar dates such as birthdays and holidays can be added, including extra pages at the back for addresses, lined paper or even colouring pages. Although I opted for a grey-colour scheme, you can pick any colour you like, including changing the header cover inside the planner. For the cover itself, you can choose a pre-made design or upload personal pictures for both the front and back – which is pretty nifty if you have a particular Instagram photo you may want to use!
