In an attempt to get my natural blonde hair back from pastel pink, I've been using a shampoo from Lush for several weeks now. I had never tried a Lush shampoo before so I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but Daddy-O really stood out to me on the shelf in the store. It's a richly coloured violet shampoo, which is thick in consistency and only requires the smallest amount to create a creamy lather to cover all my hair.
I was surprised at just how intense the colour is when you pour it out of the bottle, I thought it might have turned my hair purple (don't worry it doesn't!), but when you lather it up the colour does fade. The fragrance reminded me of Parma Violet sweets, so as you can imagine it smells pretty delicious.
Daddy-O contains lemons and limes which when combined, gives it its unique smell as well as help soften and condition the hair. It also contains coconut oil which is great for helping hair look smooth and shiny. Daddy-O contains violet leaf absolute that has a strong, leafy and floral aroma, which helps to add fresh, grassy notes its fragrance. The scent tends to stay in your hair even after you've conditioned it which I love. It would be nice if Lush could create a conditioner that complimented it's fragrance as I would be first in line to purchase it!
What's great about this shampoo is that it leaves my hair looking shiny and tangle free every time. It also gave my hair added volume and as I've recently cut my hair short, it can actually hold the volume all day long without making it frizzy or brassy. It is now one of my favourite shampoos and also a staple product to use when my hair needs a little TLC. Would I purchase it again? Absolutely!
