FOTD | Red VS Pink

Crazyblondegal Selfie Red Lips Pink Hair Pale Skin

As you all know, I’ve been pink haired for several months now. I last dyed it in early January so I think I’ve actually stained it, but being pink haired shouldn’t stop me from wearing the colours I want to. In this case, red! Red is a bold colour for me, and admittedly it’s out of my comfort zone.

Red and pink in my mind have always been a no-no, however I don’t think it looks too bad personally (although I need more practise doing eyeshadow). I toned down my eye makeup, and applied LipSense in the shade Blu-Red on my lips. The red lip paint lasted for 6 hours before showing any sign of wear, in which I also drank and ate so gets full marks in my opinion! I used LipSense gloss on top which really gives a plumping effect. This dress that I chose to wear was blue with red flowers, so really complements the lip shade.

By curling my eyelashes and then applying mascara on top, this opened up my eyes more meaning I didn’t need to use eyeliner like I usually tend to do. I used Maybelline 24hr Color Tattoo Eyeshadow in Pink Gold on my lids, because it’s my favourite eyeshadow at the moment, and it also goes quite nicely with my pink hair. I’ve found it quite hard to find a foundation to suit my super pale skin, but for now L’Oreal’s Infallible Foundation does the job without emphasising any dry areas and lasts for hours.
