We all want it, that perfect *dazzling* white smile. Even if you brush twice a day and depending what you eat or drink can gradually stain your teeth after a while. So here is a possible solution for you! I was sent Pearlys Smile Box* and was very excited to give it a go, as I've always wanted whiter and brighter teeth.
I've put off using the Smile Box for months now, as I have suffered from various mouth problems/infections as I chew my mouth frequently due to anxiety (nothing to do with not brushing my teeth!), so didn't want to try the Smile Box while my mouth was suffering. I wanted to give an accurate review of the product, so anyway, enough about me - onto the Smile Box!
The Smile Box contains three treatments, a weekly teeth brighten powder, a daily teeth-whiten foam and a teeth whitening pen. None of these products contain peroxide so they are great if you suffer from teeth sensitivity like me, but if you are after teeth that are shockingly white, then I wouldn't say this product is for you. What it is perfect for is getting your teeth looking brighter and naturally whiter and getting them back to their original colour.
One thing I must say though is that I'm not a huge fan of the packaging. The Smile Box retails at £50, however the packaging makes it looks cheap and sadly it's also a little flimsy. I don't believe the packaging of a product affects it obviously; however I found that the lid on the powder kept opening even when I didn't touch it, so I'm just a bit worried that it will spill out everywhere. As you can see below, that's as far as the lid will close on the powder box.
It's product of which I'd never heard of before, and the thought of brushing a powder onto my teeth seemed a little strange, but even after one use my teeth felt really clean, shiny and definitely had a bit more sparkle. It doesn't look like something that will do much, and when you're using it you don't really feel like it's doing much. It foams up slightly like normal toothpaste, but doesn't really have a minty taste - it's more of a bicarbonate taste which isn't surprising as this is the active ingredient along with green tea. Afterwards, my teeth felt absolutely squeaky clean, so no complaints there!
The daily whiten foam is used on top of your regular toothpaste, and personally it doesn't seem to have a particular taste which is good in my opinion. It's great as you can still use your existing toothpaste, and as you only use a single pump at a time it lasts for ages.
The pen is absolutely great as it's a lot more targeted than some of the gel kits on the market, as you can completely avoid getting the product on your gums due to the handy pen nib. I really think I can see a difference in my teeth, and after this I will now only need to use this for touch ups.
I feel it's well worth the money for a cleaner, brighter smile. If you're like me and just want a nicer, everyday smile, then I'd really consider purchasing the Pearly’s Smile Kit.
