Liberty Hello Kitty Eye Shadow Compact

I don’t know if it’s just me or if a lot of people are in the same boat, but I always tend to find bits of makeup here and there, and I have no idea or can’t remember how I came to own it! A few months ago after settling into University, I came across this Hello Kitty eye shadow compact, which I can only assume was a gift from someone. I wish I knew who it was because it’s gorgeous!

The compact itself is pretty small and lightweight, and the lid has a paper textured feel to it. It has a really sweet design on the front, that I feel really appeals to younger teens. Although the design of the case and Hello Kitty image on the mirror makes it seem less mature/aimed at younger teenagers, it is a little deceiving because the product inside is just as good as any other eye shadows I use.

There are eight different shades in the compact, and they can be blended together or used on their own to take you from day to night! Personally the earth shades are more to my taste and I use them more than the other colours such as the turquoise. There’s hardly any fall out, the pigmentation is great and surprisingly these eye shadows do stay in place for quite a few hours before you’d need to apply more.

The eye shadow compact also comes with a little brush, and although it does a satisfactory job, I prefer to use my own brushes! In my opinion the bright turquoise shade doesn’t really fit in well with the rest of the eye shadows, from the images above you can see it’s the odd one out.

Overall I think it’s a really cute eye shadow compact, and personally I think the gold Hello Kitty image on the mirror is adorable. The earthy tones suit me; however I’m staying clear of the turquoise!
